You begin your game with 6 clothing goods in your inventory. There are 3 methods to get more goods:
spending medals ()
placing fixtures in a certain way
selling a LOT of goods.
Manufacturers are key to all 3 of these methods. Each good is sold only by 1 manufacturer, and if you do not have access to that manufacturer, you cannot gain access to their clothing -- even if you fulfill all other unlock requirements. Furthermore, having access to a manufacturer alone is often not enough; you must also have the required level of rapport (). Rapport begins at 0 and increases as you sell more of the manufacturer's goods.
Each clothing good has a set of stats that determine how much and which kinds of customers are most interested in it. These stats are affected by the kind of display they are placed on, fixtures they are near, other clothing they are near, the skills of your staff, and items you use.
Stats[]
Casual - Clothes with high Casual will appeal to customers who prefer Casual clothing.
Luxury - Clothes with high Luxury will appeal to customers who prefer Luxury clothing.
Chic - Clothes with high Chic will appeal to customers who prefer Chic clothing.
Glamour - Clothes with high Glamour will appeal to customers who prefer Glamour clothing.
Appeal - Higher numbers draw in more shoppers.
Demand - Higher numbers mean shoppers buy more per visit.
List[]
This is a list of all 124 clothing goods that you can carry in your store.
When you begin your first game, you have 6 goods in your inventory, 2 of which will already be on display. You mainly acquire new goods by purchasing them from manufacturers with medals. Some items, however, have special unlock conditions. To unlock these items, you must:
have access to its manufacturer;
have the required level of rapport () with the manufacturer;
unlock the required fixture; and
build the fixture in the correct position
If you placed the fixture correctly, Betty Boutique will comment that you have created an "interesting set-up". If you have the correct level of rapport, the manufacturer will tell you they were inspired by a display in your store and ask if you want to order a new item.
